Authorities have identified 29-year-old Bayley Sanchez of Muleshoe as the woman who died in a single-vehicle rollover crash early Saturday morning in Bailey County, Texas.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, troopers were dispatched at approximately 6:19 a.m. after reports of a serious crash just east of County Road 143 along FM 1760. Investigators confirmed that the vehicle involved was traveling westbound when it approached a right-hand curve in the roadway.

Preliminary findings indicate the vehicle failed to navigate the curve and continued straight into the eastbound lane. The driver then overcorrected, re-entered the westbound lane, and subsequently left the roadway, striking a north barrow ditch before rolling over.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene, but Bayley Sanchez was pronounced deceased at the location due to the severity of the crash. No other vehicles were involved.

Texas DPS officials have stated that the incident remains under investigation, and no additional details have been released at this time regarding contributing factors or conditions at the time of the crash.

News of Sanchez’s death has left family members and the wider Muleshoe community grieving a sudden and heartbreaking loss.
